Final Three

It has been an exciting few weeks in our class! After releasing our Request for Proposal, we waited in anticipation for the proposals that we would receive. After the April 2nd deadline, the class received four different proposals to look over and review. After much research, discussion, and deliberation within the class, we narrowed the proposals down to the top three. The top three proposals have come from Eye Heart World, Family Services, and the Green Bay Public School District. Currently, we are in the midst of doing site visits and will be finishing up with our last visit on Wednesday.






Our class is grateful for all of the organizations who submitted proposals and have shown that they are dedicated to combating the issue of human trafficking in our area.

Information and pictures from each of the site visits will be posted later this week. You will not want to miss our next post, as it may reveal key information that we have learned from each of the organizations, along with our thoughts!

Congratulations to Family Services of NEW on receiving our $10,000 grant.  At the beginning of this week, we held our event to announce and award the recipient of our grant.  We had a great turnout of other students, faculty and staff members, along with some community members.  Our decision was hard, but with a lot of thinking and discussing, our class was able to come to an agreement and do what we have been waiting for all semester!  The journey throughout the semester was enjoyable, challenging at times, and a great learning experience.  This class provided a unique opportunity for us to learn in a different way and it gave us many memories that we can appreciate when looking back on our college experience.  Thanks to the Learning by Giving Foundation, UWGB, Dr. Warner, and anyone else who made this possible.  Thank you for following along with us this semester!
